Prestigious scientific recognition obtained by the Real-Time Systems Laboratory (ReTiS Lab) of the TeCIP Institute (Telecommunications, Informatics and Photonics) of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. The laboratory, coordinated by Prof. Giorgio Buttazzo, ranked first in Europe in the CSRanking (Computer Science Rankings), “Embedded & Real Time Systems” category.

CSRankings is a metric that evaluates all institutions worldwide in the field of computer science based on the quality of their publications in journals and their participation in the most prestigious conferences over the last ten years (2016-2026).

The ReTiS Lab is one of the world’s leading research groups in the field of real-time embedded systems, time-critical scheduling algorithms, advanced operating systems, and adaptive resource management. The group, led by Giorgio Buttazzo, currently comprises 50 people, including six faculty members and seven researchers.
